The Leather Development Forum (LDF), with the support of OSHE Foundation, successfully organized the stakeholder consultation on “New Paradigm for the Tannery Sector in Bangladesh” on 7 December 2025 in Dhaka.

Through this initiative, LDF aimed to create an open dialogue platform for all stakeholders of the leather sector, including tannery owners, worker representatives, and development partners so they could freely express their views and concerns regarding the proposed transfer of the Savar Tannery Industrial Estate from BSCIC to BEPZA.

We sincerely thank all the participants for their valuable insights and meaningful engagement toward building a more sustainable, compliant, and future-ready leather sector in Bangladesh.
